Playing with Matilde (a slender font)

I was introduced to a lovely font: Matilde. She’s slender with a teensy weensy curl at the end of most of her lower cases. She’s a serif with very tall ascenders and long descenders and just a brief bleep of tail on her “Q”.

And one of the many lovely things about Matilde is that she was available as a free download (click here); she also comes with frames and patterns. During the weekend I had some time to play around in Illustrator using Matilde. Below are three of my creations.
